Orviéto Classico Dry White Blend

Made from Trebbiano, Malvasia, Verdello and Grechetto grapes from select estate vineyards, pale lemon color with aromas of tropical fruits and blossom notes. On the palate apple, melon and lemon zest flavors with some flinty notes. Medium finish, fresh, ending with mineral notes. Drink now no benefit in aging.

This is a dry white wine with a blend of multiple grapes from the Orvieto region of Umbria. It comes across as very dry with a first taste but reveals more stone fruit flavors with additional tastes. It paired well with a poultry dish. Drank in January 2024.

I’ve had better Orvietos. This example shows little fruit and more earth than most whites. The acidity could have been better too.

Less than$20 TWAM, nothing special. Not as good as the 2016.

Very nice

Forgot just how nice Orvieto is. First had this in the town of Orvieto quite a few years back. Fruity like a Alsatian Riesling yet more acidic and less sweet. Just lovely. This one a great value.
