Two years since the last bottle of this vintage, roughly similar to my notes then. Didn’t really open up as much as I was hoping. More black fruit than red, quite smooth. Not as aromatic as expected.

Takes a while to get going. Right after decanting was a bit medicinal and earthy. As it opened over the next hour there was some chocolate, menthol, and mellow red fruit. Quite soft. Not a lot of tannin.

Lots of spices and tannins. Warm, decent finish. Very enjoyable.
