Really nice Grenache-heavy Rhône blend. Nose has very pure, rich dark cherry fruit, a deep floral note, some baking spice, and nice crushed rock minerality. In the mouth, it’s fairly intense and focused, with dark fruit up front that fades to savory notes and stone in the finish. A tad of pepperiness from the alcohol (14.7). There’s decent acidity and some soft tannin that will subside over the next year or two, I think. Very nice wine, and different stylistically than other WA regions like Walla Walla or Yakima. From granitic soils, not basaltic, in WA State, which is unusual there.

Lilacs make up this nose
Continuing through to the flavors, medium bodied with loads of soft and ripened fruits - plums, boysenberry taffy, watermelon candy acidity. A wild, interesting ride of a wine, one that needs a bit more time to come together - to the back of the cellar then!
