Past it’s prime, unfortunately- but still a great drop! Hints of ripe fruit, very structured, the eucalyptus notes are gone (from past Tastings of this same year) but still a fruit-forward, Shiraz powerhouse! I should have opened this about 1.5 years ago at its apex!!

Dec 17th, 2016Very solid old school wine. Hugo Gramp would recognise this wine as a style reminiscent of the Barossa deepest roots. A pleasure to drink, well managed oak and fruit. Will be a slow developing wine, which even in it's brown later years will be a solid example of the type.
