Dark but clear ruby purple with a slight glass cling. Nose of black cherry and patent leather, echoed on the palate with some licorice/anise and a bit of darkness on the finish. Medium acidity; medium plus tannins (that don't play despite being forgiving). Food pairing with any substantial "red wine" dish from the mundane (pizza) to the sublime (braciole).

(*) dry, but lots of fleshy red fruit from the syrah with a pleasant grip from the Sangiovese tannin. Not quite integrated, but a fun, easy drinker at Olive Garden.

This is a very well put together wine. Great red fruit, acidity and balance of just a slight amount of oak. Very nice wine.

Easy drink. Recommend not letting it sit for multiple nights. Becomes vinegary quick.

Interesting and well blended. Just a little more jammy than I was craving at the moment but would buy again.
