While this is unmistakably Chianti, it’s quite new world with its ripe dark fruit profile that’s equal to the though the lovely red cherry note. The palate is also broad and soft with very well integrated oak. A well made modern Chianti classical riserva, and I like it a lot.

Color of ruby with brown note. Nose of dried sweet strawberries, savory spice, ripe cherry, a bit leathery, a bit minty, a bit tobacco leaves, and some strength of alcohol. Taste is smooth with hint of sweetness from dried strawberries and grapes, low tannins, black pepper, tinkling sensation on the rim of the tongue, zest, and a bit mineral. Aftertaste shows more grape flavors, mineral and peppery note, medium length, a bit too much bitter note in the aftertaste.
