Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

The youngest cab at the Howell Mountain tasting. Curiously delicious, but still young and evolving.

So dark and deep it'll put your butt to sleep. 😎

This was given to me by my CPA and it was a nice surprise. I'm not familiar with it but it was chock full of young opulent dark fruit that opened and softened with time. I'd hold now but it is a hedonistic pleasure.

Young, tannic and chewy. Loads of fruit. The alcohol is about a point high for my taste. This one is an ager.

Strong contender for best in show. Plums, eucalyptus, mint.

More bottle time required. Decant. Lots of dark, bing cherry, dark chocolate, cedar, cinnamon. Vanilla. Big wine. Will be worth coming back to another couple of years.

Surprise wine ... not complex but yet holds on its own. Medium to full bodied . Dry. Some jam at the finish. Enjoyed it while watching Niners gm! (Win!!)
