I can smell the Mondavi Cellar with French oak in in this glass a tart cherry with mouthful of cherry and vanilla that confirms the noise. A fantastic New world Pinot I think those that rated this before me had it to young. The balance of acidity, alcohol and flavor have come forward.

Pinot noir not deep red color, ash, balsamic, limestone on smell. Long, high acidity, peach, rounded on mouth. One of our acquisitions on our last Napa Valley trip.

Almost hate to say it...but this wine was better than good. It was exceptional. Fat red fruit leaned out with laser focus and demanded air. Upon opening, this thing ran wild like a bronco. Oriental spice, pomegranate, a kiss of clove. You could do much worse in California...
