Special wine not produced every vintage, BDX presents a different expression of Oakville in a Bordeaux blend of 79% Cab Sauv and 21% Cab Franc (To Kalon fruit), aged in French oak (87% new) for 27 months. Aromas of rich ripe berry fruit with oak spice and cedar notes. On the palate blackberry and cherry flavor with cacao and cedar spice, great balance and structure. Soft tannins with balanced acidity on a lingering finish ending with a tobacco earthy character. Nice! Tasting well has several bottles!

On the palate blackberry & sweet cherry flavor with cacao & oak spice, great balance & structure. Smooth tannins, great mouthfeel, balanced acidity on a long finish ending with a slight tangy pepper character. Great value!

smells like sweet oak... palate brings vanilla, caramel, coconut.... the flavors are not very interesting- just the sweet wood that one would expect from the nose- but the texture/mouthfeel is just gorgeous.... light, rich, and incredibly supple. neat blend- mostly cab with cab franc and a dash of petite verdot.

Deep ruby color. Expressive nose of blackberries, blackcurrant, dark chocolate, and vanilla. Juicy dark fruit on the palate with oak spice and nice tannic texture. Probably drinking near or at its peak right now. Blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petite Verdot with 80% of the fruit coming from the To Kalon Vineyard. Aged 28 months in 55% new French oak.
