Les Grands Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay Champagne
Really fantastic. Bright, clear apple esthers, an almost bittersweet aroma. Long and tart. So pristine.

Jun 16th, 2021Quite nice. Definitely get that blanc de blanc character. Refined with lots of lemon peel, medium bubbles, great acid. Enjoyable and a good value, relatively speaking.

Jun 3rd, 2021A really pretty pale copper color with effusive, tiny little bubbles. The nose blossoms with notes of purple flowers, oyster shells, and crisp lemon zest. Plenty of salinity and toasty characteristics as it continues to open up and evolve over time, as is customary for a good proper Blanc de Blancs. Buttered biscuits shine as well as chalk. Sit with this for a little while. Really take it in. It’s so very nice.
Pure Chardonnay from family owned Grand Cru vineyards in Les Mesnil-sur-Oger and does that terroir ever speak through this wine. Based on a blend of the 2015 and 2016 vintages with an extra 20% of reserve wines. Extra Brut dosage of 3 g/l allows the wine to speak for itself. Crisp acidity and beautifully mouth puckering. The palate closely follows the nose with more pronounced autolytic notes and crushed herbs and spices. It’s not a competition but this NV entry level stands tall next to more prestigious champagnes out there.
