Double decanted and still needed almost two hours to start opening. Impressive dark fruit, mouth-watering acid, good depth and concentration. Nicely balanced and keeping the 14.8% abv in check. Can't wait to see how the rest is showing tomorrow night.

Jun 14th, 2017I'm not a Merlot gout usually, but this one is excellent!
Not too dry, big, finishes smooth.#2010vintage

Jun 4th, 2017Thank goodness after the last Merlot I tried (in a Merlot mood today) this is a vast improvement. Structured, more like a classified Pomerol in the nose with dark earth and spice. Big fruit and tannin, not peaked by any means. Very nice!

Mar 30th, 2016Big and intense, this needs more time! Sure, it's drinkable now, and you'll get loads of dark plums, berries, vanilla, and toast. I wonder if it will develop many tertiary notes, but it will certainly benefit from more integration.
