Had a bottle of this the night before my bday. I have to say i was impressed. It aged well and 2010 is the shiz now. Bacon fatty, rich, cherry and vanilla, beautiful texture, perfect for food. Went with tri-tip VERY well.

Dark purple urple. Edge of red. Smells slightly earthy and a bit of blueberry. Flavors are decent. Dark fruits. Bit more oaky vanilla and toffee than I love in the Syrah profile, but there is a some black pepper and it’s got licorice as well. It’s just a bit too smooth and too clean to really inspire.
