Claret Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Young and vibrant it took a double decant to begin to loosen up & blossom. Went beautifully with a dry-aged steak and evolved over the meal. Beautiful stuff, and given another five years to mellow & mature.

Blueberries, blackberries, bitter chocolate, lavender, and a bit of spice. Full-bodied, velvety smooth, and yummy!

2008 vintage. Very aromatic, deep dark cherry flavor with a hint of chocolate. Well balanced with softened tannins. It had another 5 to 10 year life in it. Excellent bottle of wine and great paring with steak.

Half bottle. Much better than I remembered.

Don't love it but it's pretty good. Still very tannic. Makes your mouth tighten up a little. This is a halfie.

Another magnum for the evening. Foley calls it a Claret even though it's 100% Cab.

Big black and blue jammy fruit. Crowd pleaser.

Great with filets!
