First time experience with Biale. Extreme elegance and approachability. Love the texture and fruit. Tannins were light and incorporated, consistent with the rest of its style.

Mar 3rd, 2015Vines planted in 1886. Grown at 1000 ft elevation with pretty harsh botrytis pressure. Iron rich soils and crazy slopes for 300 acres. Also a bit of Semillon and
Cabernet in there too.
Aged on 25% new oak. Burnt rubber and blueberry pie. A very expressive Napa wine, but not entirely my jazz.

Blackberries, blueberries, pepper, smoke, hint of vanilla. Very nice. Will check back in in a year or two.

Beautiful Zinfandel with perfumed notes of bright raspberry, blackberry compote. Yum yum.
