This was the bottle of the night for sure

Good funk and minerality. Crazy ripe and just that. A kiss of sweetness. Very bricky watery color. Simple palate. But good complexity for 23 years old

Lovely Volnay Santenots. A little musty on first opening. Decanted and it quickly burned off. Good with duck rillettes, pork pate, and lamb sausage. Also worked well with various tuna sushi (maki). Red fruits on the nose and palate.
