I’ve been holding off on drinking my RM single vineyard pinots for quite a while, but I broke down and opened this 2013 Summa over the weekend. Wow. All kinds of floral and red fruits leapt from the glass while a deep fruited complexity greeted my tongue. Plenty of acidity balanced the fruit. It sure was fun to experience this wine.

Smoky cherry blood orange. Surprised by a tinge of ripe ruby grapefruit on the palette. Tannins are subtle. Light acidity.

Cherry, cranberry, mint. Maybe a hint of forest floor. Very enjoyable and in a good spot.
