Raspberry preserves, orange peel, spice, and a hint of cola. Occidental is a gem among an outstanding lineup of 2013 RM pinots.

Rivers-Marie 2013 Pinot Noir from Occidental Ridge Vineyard! Needed 15-20 minutes to express itself! Bright Cherries and other black fruits. Velvety with layers of warm fruit that coat the entire mouth , a Big Wow at this point. Very Impressive! A friend named Maria P told me about the Guru Wine Maker! I now buy everything he makes... Bravo Thomas! Charliethewineguy!

Most of the primary fruit is gone. Past peak IMO.

Had this same wine two years ago and it’s really softened. The forest floor and herbaceous notes have gone to the background and the red fruit notes such as raspberry and pomegranate stand out. However, it still has a coastal flare. Medium bodied and delicious. 93+

Very good, but their Sonoma Coast version was almost as good. Better stemware and more air might have helped.
