On Day 3 now. Ripe pineapple showing more and more. Solid. Oak is there but not over the top.

I have had better RM Thieriot Chardonnays. Still enjoyable.

There’s a lot going on here. It’s interesting but lacks focus. Lemon curd, wet limestone, white pepper, and green apple stand out. Creamy mouthfeel. Big and boisterous, but for the style, given the lesser refinement, it’s like a discount rack Aubert.

My favorite of the RM chards year in and year out - even better with an extra year or two in bottle. Beautiful.

A bit scattered in its youth but a great drink nonetheless. Nose starts tropical and evolves into a classy Wurther’s Original caramel candy. Similarly the acid starts whacky but focuses with air, though the tart apple note unfortunately isn’t well integrated with the caramel yet. Palette leans heavy on the front, long into the finish. Looking forward to my next bottle in a few years.

Oh yeah! Great stuff. Have liked each and every RM chard I’ve had. Pears is what I got off of this one.
