An odd Barolo. Medium Ruby color with aromas of ripe red fruits and earthy forest spice. On the palate cherry and plum fruits with wafts of tobacco and spice. Firm Biting Tannins, a bit too savory on a medium finish. Bottle opened for 2 hours and did not seem to improve, ends with an off earthy character. Pass on this one.

Jan 13th, 2021Desiccated red fruits, mocha, dark chocolate with dried tomato leaves. The structure is quite soft for a Barolo. Modern style.

Pretty decent for only $25, has all the right stuff including earthyness, leather, ripe red fruit tones, and acidity, only lacking the floral aroma and a touch of tannin, not bad though for a newcomer to the grape.
