Got to take advantage of another Wednesday Wine Committee and boy was it worth it. Wow! Killer wines brought by Glenn for his 60th! As always, wines tasted blind. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine.
This was actually my first Ridge Monte Bello and I'm ruined. Most assumed Bordeaux (with quite a few guessing right bank) and while I was correct assuming it was older than 20yrs, that's about as much as I got correct. I got new leather on this (not all did), so it moved me to France. So much fruit left here...blackberries, dusty raspberries, peppery finish. What a treat it would be to have a few older Monte Bello's stashed away!
