OK, I'll admit I had to look up Ruby Cabernet (Cab Sauv/Carignane). Developed by not over the hill, bright acid, soft tannin. A really fun taste of Ca history

Mar 2nd, 2016A piece of CA history. Ruby Cabernet was bred at UC Davis, a cross between cab sauv and Carignane, typically used for jug wine, but this one was lovingly made by Paul Draper, nose a bit tired, but a lively three-dimensional palate, with refined pebbly tannins.
