Wow! 1974 jewel of a wine! Bits of BBQ spice on the nose with sweet core and nuances of forest floor and underbrush. What kills me is the 'glycerine' like envelop over the wine that holds the excellent acid and tannin backbone. These old Zin's drink better than most of the old Cabs! Incredible!!!

Wine is41 years old - a half bottle and still vibrant with great fruit! Just perfect with fruit!

Still alive! Wet earth and mushrooms. Fruit fell out after 20 minutes in the glass.

A really special experience. Forest Mushrooms, tobacco and earthy but still plenty of black and blue fruits w an impressive amount of acidity for its age. Baking spices and a little hint of menthol and dried herbs on the finish.
