2009 Vintage. Dark ruby color with aromatic black cherry, blueberry, cassis and a kiss of vanilla, and baking spice aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, balanced and elegant with black cherry, blueberry, cassis and vanilla flavors. Long finish. 14.2% alcohol.

We adore this wine--aged perfectly, this is a great example of how a merlot is supposed to be, and why we love it as a varietal. Dark berries and a hint of vanilla and earth on the nose, supple palate with great mouthfeel, great dark berry fruit, balanced acidity. Paired beautifully with homemade lasagna and would have done well with lamb, chicken, pork and all sorts of dishes.

2009 vintage. First release since 1997. Dark intense fruit, almost bold in quality. Really impressed by this one. Went very well with a seared ribeye.
