Ripe for Rhys and we like it. Very complex as well. Want more.

Big Rhys fan. Brambly, dark fruit nose. Sweet berry fruit, drying tannin earthy mid palate, lingering dark fruit finish. All Rhys.

Lighter than any other Rhys I’ve had. Doesn’t make it bad but not right in my wheelhouse either. Great fruit and quality though. Served blind I called it Oregonian Pinot.

Raspberries with blackberry compote, forest floor, some baking spices and nice weight and finish to it.

Today’s grand finale at the pickup. Was advertised as “Think of it as the Bearwallow Grand Cru”. Complex, concentrated, well rounded. Very promising, should really shine in a few years. Does the grape justice, restraint on new oak (5% only) keeps it from going over the top.
