Strawberry, spice, earth, and faint herbal/bell pepper note dominates the nose. Bright strawberries, spice, pepper, and a nice silky acidity provides moderate intensity in the mouth. Showing well tonight baby!

Brilliant raspberry and raspberry leaf mixes with red currant and crushed stone over a bed of cedar and pine boughs.

Succulent red berries, fine-tuned oak and fresh acidity hallmarks this classically built-up PN, which has an underlying structure and will reward cellaring.

Magnum. What a cooky wine this was. On the nose it was Old World all the way. Had a few people smell without knowing what it was and no one was even close to saying this was a Cali Pinot. Had a couple of people that thought it was a Brunello. Very funky.

Showing really well. Excellent aromatics and open on the palate. No hurry, but excellent right now.

It wants to be a luscious Rhys, but the 2010 brightness doesn't quite sync up.

Rhys San Mateo Pinot Noir 2012 13.3% - very good, fruity, no oak, balanced, would give a hard time to a few tasters on a blind tasting

Good but so dense and extracted. Tasted more like Syrah than Pinot.
