Alpine Vineyard Chardonnay

Nice depth

American grand cru burgundy. Rhys only makes two single vineyard chardonnays and I thought horseshoe was my favorite until I tasted this thought provoking wine. Medium plus acidity, tart green apples, tropical notes of pineapple, mango, papaya, hazelnuts and hazelnut skins, dried peanuts, slight oxidized and a very small amount of reduction that went away after second glass. Stunning wine!

That's more like what I was expecting. Fresh, energetic, and alive. Full of lemon zest and minerality.

2nd bottle of this, and it's awesome.

Hell yeah!!! Too young, but he'll yeah.

Really rich yellow Apple, smokey ripe pear, and rich layers of voluptuous cream. Low oak, high texture.

Too young, but very good. Nervy and long. Give it at least two years.

Nervous and intense. It'll go the distance

This one had signs of seepage on it so I opened it planning on throwing it out. What an amazing wine and so fresh! Maybe another bottle seeped on to this one?
