One of the Syrah based wines in the rocks vineyard this wine is 100% Syrah and is the highest scoring wine ever from Washington state in the wine spectator with 98 points. 2011 in the rocks has a little viognier cofermented for darker color and a lift in the aromatics. Which this wine has a that floral lift in the nose along with that distinct earthy character from this vineyard and barnyard notes to the dark plum and roasted meat very complex bouquet of aromas. Very rich with a good amount of plum and dark cherry fruit a good hand of spice and an array of dried flower and that distinct earthy nuance through the finish. Finish 50+ most excellent

A bit tight at first, but opened up beautifully! The most minerality and 'funk' I've gotten on a Reynvaan wine lately. Gorgeous!!
