Reynolds Family Winery
Estate C.s. Cabernet Sauvignon
Cocoa-tastic. Silky, rich, and great for a meal. Had a bottle of this with my wife on our anniversary at Hannah's in Denton, TX. Great with Orange glazed Lamb rack and Chipotle Sweet Potatoes.

Feb 27th, 2023Deep purple in color with nose of blackberry jam, cocoa powder, cedar, and ash. Medium body and integrated tannins. Good balance and a nice, reasonable finish. This wine hits above its price point. It’s a good value at around $60. I’ve tasted several wines twice as much that don’t perform as well as this.

Mar 22nd, 20222014 with 7 years on it.
Nice color with a slight brick on the edges.
On the nose: eucalyptus, mint, green olive, Cocoa, baking spice (anise?) hint of strawberry.
On the palate: absolute cocoa bomb! Baking spices (anise & cinnamon), red fruit.
Short, but pleasant finish. Light tannins for the age. This wine was totally different than expected. I expected a typical, ripe and dusty Napa cab. This wine is intense and rich, yet still has finesse. Enjoyed with Teriyaki filet mignon kabobs. This would go well with a very lean piece of beef due to the light tannins. Very approachable when young, drink now!
