What a great Barolo for the price. Lovely brick colour, velvety tannins at relatively young age. Notes of dried flowers, dried herbs, raspberry, and some earth.

Oct 18th, 2017It's a Piedmont kind of night. This bottle didn't show well, even though it had its nice 20-minute tasting window after 30 minutes in the glass. Tight and grippy, green tannins at first, earthy tones on the nose and wet forest to chase it. On the palate seemed heavy and masculine — tobacco, oak, copper and leather. Ended on a bitter note with surprising green pepper and gunpowder aromas. Reduced maybe?
