St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon

Love the texture and density of this wine. Black cherry plum

First off I use words from a theme of an immortal movie called Midnight Cowboy but modified to fit this post everybody talking at me - I can hear the words there saying - that is either a song for the insane or a cry for me to step up my game as my friends are crushing it lately with there wine choices of late

now that the wine is decanted for two hours and will be another hour before friends show up the first sip is so darn good / epic in fact - big bold and beautiful

Love the deep deep deep reddish color - tannins are so refined and the finish is exceedingly long that smiles are automatic

07' Revana Cabernet. This Bordeaux blend wine is worth seeking out. Predominantly black fruits, with a little red cherry, plum & toasty oak. The balance & elegance of this valley floor wine 😇. Drinking absolutely flawlessly right now.
I wish I had more of the 07'. If you're not a fan of Revana, try the 2007... you could change your mind? Drinking now, with 4/5 great years in it. Heidi Barrett's best Revana! Buy the 2007 it's that much better than anything else she did with Revana!! Edit- Pop & pour, let it open up in your glass.

I would like to drink this again!

Revana, Cabernet Sauvignon, Saint Helena, Napa Valley 2007

I will give this wine some serious props and for me, this wine wins the "no way this ia 11 years old" category. Lots of 07's opened tonight. This one smelled and tasted like a barrel sample. All blackberry fruit. Quite punchy, quite a lot of it, and very well done. But that's really about it. Tannin was there, but the one thing that did make me believe that this was an older wine was due to the fact that the tannins were actually quite soft on this wine, but tannin still had a little bit of "toast" to them. Not a bad wine at all. Pure Napa power.
