The outfit from Louis Jadot in Oregon. The first vintage was brilliant. This not so much. I reviewed this before. Age made no difference lacks stuffing and and even at 28$ not recommended. Dark fruit hint blackberry. touch bitter. I have not gone back to any newer vintages a real disappointment.

Has a French touch. A ripe style despite 13.5%. 2016 was a hot year. Mostly dark fruit, black tea, just a hint of cherry 🍒 and raspberry. Faint whiff of cardamom and mint. Fantastic tannin management. More big than elegant. Long and complex. For the money a really good wine. Days later on my Argon line even better.

First tasting of an Oregon PN. I can't say if this one is characteristic or not, one thing is for sure, we are far from our taste landmarks such as burgundy Sancerres etc. Very focussed on black fruits, pepper, intense vegetable notes, a freshness still marked even after 6 years, the tannins are still firm even today. All the sliders seem pushed and would recall some Languedoc wines by its prominent yet balanced profile. The finish is remarkable. An intense lively and half-bodied wine, although a little expensive to my taste.

Raspberries, red plums, forest floor and some spice. Good wine that would be even better with some age.

Subtle raspberry, black fruit, & herbal flavors. High acidity, mineral finish.
