Renault Bodillard
Thaddeus Morgon Gamay
Who needs Pinot when Gamay is this good! Once again, Beaujolais proves how underrated the region is. On the nose; cherry, baking spices, graham cracker and dried earth. On the palate; Sour black cherries, hints of blood orange, flinstone vitamins ;-), fine tannins and balanced acidity. I think I paid 17€ at my local shop. Great value! Reminded me a bit of Sicily’s Nerella Mascalase.

Jan 5th, 2022Brought this back from Paris, recommended to me by the shop owner at Les Caprices de l’instant. Delicious, very good expression of gamay/Bojo. Could’ve aged even longer, plenty of fruit.
