Rémy Martin
1738 Accord Royal Fine Champagne Cognac

Best mid tiered cognac, really elevates cocktails, very smooth. Classic cognac flavors

Smells of dark cherries, Coke, vanilla, some apple pie, cinnamon. The initial taste is really great - loads of rich, fruity (prunes) and vanilla sweetness, offset with an interesting tannin. It has a medium finish where the oak becomes more pronounced. Best brandy I’ve had in a while.

This past weekend I tried the 1738 from Rémy Martin at our local tasting bar along with several whiskies. This was a surprise for me as I wasn't expecting quite as nice a cognac as it turned out to be. My only concern was the pricing at the LCBO, which as per normal, is astronomical. :( oh well, maybe I will find it on my adventures in the US or elsewhere!
