Remoissenet Père et Fils
Volnay Pinot Noir
Perfect way to end the Easter Day. Smells like the subterranean streets of Beaune, and tastes of sour reds & Burgundian funk. Truly sublime.

Feb 27th, 2016Maderized at first. Fruit developed after abt 45 min. Acid never slipped and mustiness remained but slight. It's volatile. Had a 20 min window.

Dec 12th, 2013In surprisingly good shape for a '98 village-level Volnay. A little hard around the edges, and likely not getting any better, but pretty aroma of cherry, violet, orange peel, touch of tobacco and leather.
