Eucalyptus, dark cherry, soil, and a floral note on the sniff. Black cherry and a bit of tobacco with smoothed tannic/acid structure frame the mid weight palate. Not a wow version of this typically great blend but for an '11, still drinks great.

Stewed black fruits, raspberries, caramel milk chocolate chews, vanilla, root beer float, asian spice and just the right minerality. Charles Hendrick's makes his wines to drink young and yet will age 10-15 years plus depending on vintage. An art that escapes many Winemakers.

Drinking quite nicely and young. Layers of primary fruit — plums and cassis — with spices, herbs, and vegetal notes. Soft but firm tannins and nice acid remain. Service: I gave this 3 hours of slow ox and 1.5h in a decanter. A good amount of sediment was removed at decant. Served just below room temp.

Regusci is always a favorite with Italian food. This Patriarch opened up nicely and just keeps getting better.

Very drinkable! Big bold flavor. Earthy and smoky on the tongue. Smooth and rich. More please!

Full bodied and complex. Not a great value, but definitely a great wine.
