Les Longeroies Vieilles Vignes Marsannay Pinot Noir

The Clos du Roy has been around ever since the dukes of Burgundy, residing in nearby Dijon, documented, and drank in its virtues.
Ruby red color with aromas of ripe fruits with floral perfume and earthy tones, aged for 14 months in 30% new oak. On the palate flavors of berry and plum fruits, with pepper spice notes. Soft fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral and earthy spice character.

2015 - Vintage - red rim ( looks young for a 8 year old wine - mushroom, tea , spice , ( leads with a lot of other than fruit aromas) black fruits , subtle oak influence still somewhat firm tannins but drinking well

Ripe but not overly. Seems like s drink now to next five years.

Showing great. A somewhat unique “natural” waxy/oiliness that pleasantly lingers.

Love the nervey acidity. All this wine needs is time. Tart cherry fruit.

Fresh cassis and cranberry, rosemary, fennel, anise. Neutral oak. A fruit forward expression from Marsannay. Medium plus acidity, low to moderate minus tannin, medium minus concentration/staining/body.

A new producer for me.

Earthy papery bandaid with dark fruits, salty ocean air, solid tannins and nice balance

Smoky and woody, nicely aged.
