My Father's Day gift to myself is the dense purple '04 Red Car Syrah 'The Fight Round 3' and watching the final round of the US Open. This bold wine displays a bouquet of earthy black fruits, figs and bacon with hints of tar and violets. Deeply concentrated, but still smooth and well integrated with a minute long finish. It's a beautiful day!
