Lemon acid. The notes say this was aged in 100 percent neutral French oak, but there's a hint of vanilla on the nose (none on the palate). Beautiful see-through not-quite lemon color, too.

Aromas of zesty lemon, yummy sweet floral aromas, Honeysuckle, citrus and ripe pears. Very limited production but worth the time to visit and buy a bottle. Love Red Car

Drinking this 2013 Red Car Hagen Vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay in early 2023 for a special celebration. Deep golden yellow color, soft syrupy legs, mellow honey/butter/nutty tannin with a smooth classy fruit taste.
Sipping it while I'm waiting for dinner to be ready and it's great alone, and based on how the aromas are mixing, will beautifully complement dinner of escarole,beans, garlic, olive oil, pasta. Love Red Car...

Details on labels are very informative. Probably the most informative I've ever seen. 10% whole cluster, harvested at 22 Brix. The package gives context to what your enjoying.
