Rebel Coast Winery
Reckless Love Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah
Pretty dark. Maybe not dark as night, but dusk. Smells fruit forward and a bit jam, jam jammy. Flavor is fine. Pretty similar to the Gravelbed Red I just drank. Maybe a bit less depth. It’s good enough. And it costs half as much.
As an aside, this wine had some of the silliest, most market oriented text on the bottle I’ve ever seen. In an ironic, silly way it helped lead to my choosing it. However I had very low expectations, and I though it would be Apothic and Menage e tiós style, but I was surprised by the complexity and deeper flavors.

Decent drinking wine. Finish is a bit sour, but the smell is wonderful and it is smooth. Starts off nice. If the finish was better, I would have rated it much higher.

Apr 19th, 2018Nice garnet red color, translucent fading to the edge. Aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, cranberry and leather. Smooth, red fruit flavors with a lingering dry, delicious finish. Oh yeah, the bottle logo glows in the dark.
