Years ago, a 25yo raymond was the first old wine id ever had and it changed my life. This one was a bit sentimental for me but thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of dried cherry, fruit leather, fragrant herbs, and satiny tannin

Still some nice fruit coming thru. Decanted about 45 minutes.

Fascinating underlying fruit but alas something gone awry. 🤯

Maybe pasted it’s prime Paid $15 @ GO Another Paul Schmitt selection

Vanilla, good nose, no levels of flavor, good.

Better on the 2nd day, fruit fading a bit but still enjoyable.

Old, Bold, still fantastic

Just opened the 1996 vintage. Thought it would have been too late. Oh no! Delish! Cork was dry but the wine was devine.
