Mar 18th, 2015These 08s are really wonderful. They were in stasis for so long. On release they were somewhat open, then quickly tightened and refused to reveal themselves. Remember, the 08 was the banner year with all the promise. Well, they seem to be coming out of hiding which is thrilling. Full palate, rich, soul of the soil evident.

A mushroom-y and spicy nose, with tones of fresh blackberries, dried peppercorn, nutmeg, and hints of violets. Fresh strawberries and raspberries, with subtle tones of semisweet chocolate, ripe currants, sweet red pepper, and finishes just as light as it started - a good thing considering its length.
