Possibly the WOTN. Drop dead gorgeous at this age. Everything was harmonious. Fruit medley, fig, cedar bark, balanced palate.

05 Ramey Jericho Canyon Cabernet was the star in an all 05 dinner featuring great 1-3 growth Bordeaux. Beautiful tonight and will be memorable in 5 years.

Great nose of dark fruit blackberries and cassis. Well balanced fruit with integrated tannins. Enjoying with a great steak dinner.

Opened up nicely after decanting. Cork disintegrated but otherwise a delicious Napa cab.

Blackberry and currant, silky tannins, well balanced, fruit perhaps slightly on the down slope but very enjoyable mature wine.

The wine of the night! Head to head with five other high end 2005 Cabernet Sauvignons! Absolutely beautiful expression of CS. Went with everything we ate and was the clear winner in a blind tasting with Chateau Montelena, Robert Mondavi Oakville (finished second), Regusci Angelo's Vineyard, Beringer Private Reserve, and Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste. Not too often that a group can taste this many wines blind and choose a clear winner! Way to go David Ramey, again!!

Delish! Powerful but not overdone. Tannins have some grip still but it's quite nice. A decadent wine for Ramey but great balance of fruit and oak and acidity and heft.
