2008 vintage Carneros district. This is a great example of a terrific "Village" (in Burgundy terms) Chardonnay and it shows how David Ramey's wines can age. Still young at 9 years old. Powerful nose with brioche, ripe white stone fruit and butter ( not unlike some of the more flashy Meursault wines like Goutte d'Or). Broad, intense taste, maybe not the most subtle, but irresistible. Great acidity keeps it balanced. Amazing length too.
