i am obsessed with sub-alpine nebbiolo (known as chiavenasca up here in Valtellina). 2010 is perfection, soft and enticing with dried roses and cherries, wild mushrooms, and ample, feathery tannins.

2011. Lovely pale color. Lots of dried fruit (cherry?) in the nose and the palate.

2010 complex flavors of dried cherry, tobacco, herbs and spices.
