Like where this is going. Fresh, alive with its acid profile, moderate weight, really moving into its smokey phase. Tobacco, cigar, meat, crushed violet, sweet licorice, crunchy black cherry and berry fruit. Much more expressive than LBT, much more alluring perfume.

Prefect example of how the combination of wine, place, and people can lend themselves to pure happiness, if only for a few hours and 750mL. Enjoyed this 2010 bottling at the Ahwahnee Lodge dinning room (Yosemite NP) with rack of lamb and roasted autumn vegetables. Showing great concentration, age, and structure. Cheers to more moments like this one!

An elegant grande damme still serving aaalll the flavor! Black cherry, prune, stewed and spiced with clove, with cut cedar, char, and dried tobacco on the long finish. The smokey-sweet nose alone is worth the trip. This was the final of three bottles of this vintage I had on hand, and the best came last! Previous bottles were a bit stale and over the hill, but this one is alive and ready!

Some of the easiest drinking crowd/pleasing Syrahs. This particular 2010 bottle was no different.
