Usually one of my favorites, but this one failed to meet the high standard I have for this wine. Decanted for 3 hours and it just didn’t open up. Still solid.

Good now - should be excellent a couple years down the road.

Had to try one young. Surprisingly approachable an hour in. Going to be another winner down the road. Will wait awhile before opening another. Hard to beat these Quivet Syrah's at this price.

A stellar wine. Has spice, leather, tobacco, with black fruits.

This is whole cluster. It's young, vibrant and big. Has a meaty edge to the big and thick fruit with a hint of herb and maybe tapenade. But olive is not overwhelming. Tannins are integrated but definitely present. Initial take after opening is 92. After a few hours, goes up to 94. The balance and integration increases after being open.
