Blend of Corvina (54%), Rondinella (29%), Cabernet Sauvignon (14%) along with trace amounts of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Merlot and Croatina. Dark and murky ruby color with black highlights. Fragrant aromas of red and black fruit, wild herbs and flowers, freshly turned soil and cocoa powder. Deep flavors of black berry/cherry fruit, pomegranate, tobacco, dark chocolate, black licorice and sweet spices. Lovely mineral backbone on the long, lingering and savory finish. Full bodied, rich, concentrated and plush due to the fact that this wine is produced in the appassimento style. Incredible balance.
