Pombal do Vesuvio Douro Red Blend

Beautiful purity and elegance here from the Douro, extremely pretty with good fruit, spice, and floral interplay. Some underlying wood and stone.

Very nice. As some here have said it has ripe red and black fruit aromas and Flavours almost raspberry jam at times and at the same time zippy acidity on the palate #douro

This still red from Portugal’s Douro Valley is loaded with character. The color is so dark I can barely tell it's red. The nose is full of minerality, earth, cigars and leather. Oh, yeah, there’s a bit of dark, brambly fruit in there, too. The palate displays the same, with some licorice thrown in as if there wasn't enough happening. Bracing acidity and firm tannins make for a muscular drink which is begging for a nice, fatty steak.

Ripe, rich and comforting, it’s a hug of a wine 🍷

Big wine. High acidic value and a long leathery velvet berry finish. I like it.

Savory, mineral deep, but did not last to day three due to oxidation

Surprisingly very fruit forward. Light fruity nose, strawberries, honey, a hint of Twizzlers.

Quinta do Vesuvio ‘Pombal do Vesuvio’ Douro 2018: Medium-full bodied. Nice balance & structure. Soft tannins. Good acidity. Blackberry. Plum. Tobacco. Chocolate. Earth. Oak. Velvet finish. Consisting of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca & Tinta Amarela, this wine presented a lot of structure & black fruit; a pleasantly fresh and expressive Douro wine leaving you wanted to try more.
