The bird is the word. One of the best wines I've had from Portugal. Definitely almost a light red. Pretty, juicy damson plum, pomegranate and raspberry purée notes are overlaid with pink rose and violet florals. Herbal sage and coriander notes add depth. General crunchiness and sapidity abide. So drinkable and complex, especially for the price. I foresee a lot of this in my future. What I've always been looking for in Portugal: their answer to Beaujolais.
