So I’m not somebody that smells the cork but as I extracted it from the bottle I caught a definite hint of vinegar. Poured myself a glass and gave the cork a whiff. Definitely vinegar on the cork. The wine itself was still very fruity and tasted like it had been very much oxygenated. I think I might’ve stored it wrong as I would have it vertical on the counter and then put it horizontal to cool in the refrigerator. Pretty sure there were some cork infiltration but even with that this wind came across as young but had a bit of a bland expression to that. I blame that on the oxygen and need to try another bottle to make sure that this isn’t representative.
